Step into a realm where anonymity reigns.
Whether you’re looking for a space to vent about your disrespectful roommates and the boss you secretly can’t stand or you need someone to give you some brutally honest advice, this is the space for you.
I don’t want to know your name, your email, or your IP address. None of that is tracked here.
You are 100% anonymous, which means you can tell it all, because your secrets are safe with me…and the rest of the internet.
The Truth Hurts:
You’re going to hear me say this repeatedly, so let’s get it out of the way: if you want a hug, go ask your mother. If you want the cold, hard, unvarnished truth, you’re in the right place.
Ask Anonymous was created for one reason: Most people in your life are too polite to tell you that you’re actually the problem.
Your friends don’t want to hurt your feelings and your family is stuck with you. I’m not.
Why I’m Anonymous: I don’t care who you are, and you shouldn’t care who I am either.
By removing our identities, we remove the ego. In this space, there are no reputations to protect nor social ladders to climb. There is only what you choose to share and my not-so-humble opinion in response.
How It Works:
There are two ways to communicate on here.
1. The Confessional: This is live and running 24/7, so when those drunken thoughts hit at 2:37 a.m. or in the middle of the afternoon at whatever family gathering you’re being forced to endure this time, you’ve got a place to let them out. I may not see them right away, but this isn’t really the spot you’re looking for advice in. It’s your space to vent. Share to your hearts content.
2. Dear Anonymous: This is a weekly column in the style of “Dear Abby.” You submit your dilemma and I’ll respond in a post that will be published to The Vault every Sunday. Just remember, I don’t sugarcoat anything.
I don’t validate your feelings or promote toxic positivity.
So if you’re looking for someone to tell you “it’s going to be okay,” while you’re making some terrible decisions in life…you’re not going to find it here.
But if you’re ready to hear what everyone else is thinking (but too afraid to say), write me a letter.
